Finally after working all into the night, they set sail for Treasure Island. It turned out that the officer was worse than the captain had feared because he didn't command the people at all, people did what they pleased with him and he was often drunk. Then later on the voyage, the officer disappeared forever. Long John Silver was also popular among the crew. Long John Silver then tells Jim about his parrot he named Captain Flint who can speak very well. The squire and the captain also do not like each other very well. The crew was also very spoiled because if it was any man's birthday he would get a barrel of apples. However, one day Jim had done all of his work and wanted an apple. He went to the barrel, crawled inside and found there were no apples left. He then went to sleep and later woke up when the barrel shook and he heard Long John Silver speaking.
